"Tis the season to be jolly and no man knew how to celebrate the season better than good old Fezziwig.  According to Charles Dickens, "if any man alive knew how to keep the spirit of Christmas, he did."  December 15th is the 8th annual Dickens Christmas Ball, so come start a new holiday tradition and celebrate the holiday season Fezziwig style, with a ball just as they knew in the time of Dickens and Victorian England complete with delicacies, parlor games, sining Christmas Carols around the piano, and frolicking of old fashioned charm.

Old Glory Vintage Dancers will expertly take you back in time and take you through the paces of the dances and the lively parlor games of that merry era.  Come enliven your Christmas spirit in a grand way, by joining us at the ball.

We are thrilled to announce that Brooke Shaw will be delighting us with beautiful piano interludes of Christmas carols throughout the evening. Brooke started playing the piano at the age of 5.  She continued taking lessons into her teens.  As a teacher she enjoyed working with new students and helping advanced students improve their technique.  Brooke has played for many church congregations on both the piano and organ starting at the age of 12.  Additionally, she has accompanied many choirs and soloists during performances.

Dress from the lifetime of Dickens' (1812-1870) or modern formal is requested.
