6th Annual Dickens’ Christmas Ball

Wed. December 10, 7:00 pm

$15 individual, $25 couple

 

Infuse the Christmas spirit into your heart this season with the antique dances of Dickens’ life time and the sweet delicacies of the holidays. All the dances will be demonstrated and taught, so even the most inexperienced person will be able to fill their hearts with glee!

 

 

"Tis the season to be jolly and no man knew how to celebrate the season better than good old Fezziwig.  According to Charles Dickens, "if any man alive knew how to keep the spirit of Christmas, he did."  December 10th is the 6th annual Dickens Christmas Ball, so come start a new holiday tradition and celebrate the holiday season Fezziwig style, with a ball just as they knew in the time of Dickens and Victorian England complete with delicacies and frolicking of old fashioned charm. 

 

 

Old Glory Vintage Dancers will expertly take you back in time and take you through the paces of the dances of that merry era.  Come enliven your Christmas spirit in a grand way, by joining us at the ball. 

 

Dress from the life time of Dickens’ (1812-1870) or modern formal is requested.

Highclere Castle Edwardian Ball

You know the place and time...the abbey, Lord Grantham and his daughters and of course the going's on of the servants. The Titanic has sunk and the world is in turmoil, but we are celebrating Relativity, Oreo Cookies, and the new Whitman's Sampler with fashion and dancing.

 

Downton Abbey Season 5 starts Sunday, but you can experience the opulence of Season 1 at the Ball Saturday night. We will take you back a century to the Edwardian Era to dance Lady Mary's favorite dance and other old time frolics. You can cast your vote for who most resembles Matthew Cawley and Lady Mary or maybe even with the prize basket yourself, nibble on tasty delights and experience a little Downton for yourself.

So, don your Edwardian finery for an evening of old fashioned dancing including Lady Mary's favorite dance to relive the elegance and grandeur of the early twentieth century.


All the dances will be taught throughout the evening so no previous experience is needed.

 

Light refreshments will be served. 

 

Edwardian or modern formal attire please. 14 years and up.

 

$15 individual, $25 per couple.

 

Provo Pioneer Village Concert & Ball

Friday May 2, 7:00pm, Provo Recreation Center

 

This is the 1st Annual event to raise money for the Pioneer Village. Be enthralled with the story telling talents of Clive Romney and enjoy pioneer dancing with Old Glory Vintage Dancers as they demonstrate and teach the dances. Proceeds will benefit the James Loveless Adobe Home relocation and restoration.

 

Provo Pioneer Village will open for tours 4-7pm.

 

$35 per couple, $20 per person, $15 per youth 14-17yrs.

Regency Romance Ball

Join us for an Austentatious night filled with Jane Austen period dancing, dinner and desserts. And as always we have prizes for contest winners, period music and professional portraits to purchase.

 

This is our Fourth annual Regency Romance Ball and is sure to sell out again this year so purchase your tickets early to avoid disapointment!

 

Is dancing a little scary for you or your partner? Fear not, if you can walk, turn about and know your right from your left you can do these dances! Old Glory Vintage Dancers demonstrate and teach all the dances of the evening and you will be amazed at how graceful you can be.
